Illegally employed in Poland
Officers from the Maritime Department of the Border Guard, as a result of controlling the legality of employment of foreigners in one of the employment agencies in the Starogard poviat, discovered that 94 foreigners performed work in Poland contrary to the applicable regulations.
The company employed foreigners to carry out work on the premises of employers who used the services of the agency. Officers from the SG Branch in Gdańsk analyzed the documentation related to entrusting work to 477 foreigners, mostly citizens of Ukraine. It turned out that 94 foreigners performed work in Poland in breach of applicable regulations. They started work without work permits and without contracts in writing. In addition, the employer entrusting the work to foreigners did not fulfill the obligation to notify the relevant labor office in writing of taking or not taking up the work within the required time and provided false information about the taking, failure or termination of work by 286 foreigners. Further explanatory and administrative activities will be carried out after the trader refers to the inspection protocol.
