Changes in British migration policy faster than expected
The UK government intends to change the migration system later this year. The new system is to be modeled on Australian - where not nationality but points for individual skills determine the possibility of migration of a person.
After leaving the European Union, in the United Kingdom a transition period until the end of the year will apply to migration. Then the United Kingdom will be able to implement its own migration policy. It was anticipated that the current migration regulations would continue for two years before the changes were introduced. However, government officials, to their employers' worry, warn that "companies must be prepared for the uncontrolled migration of low-skilled workers by the end of this year." This means the British labor market will be focused on highly qualified specialists.
