Border control extended by another 10 days
The Minister of the Interior and Administration Mariusz Kamiński has signed an amendment to the regulation regarding internal border control under which the control is extended for the period from May 4, 2020 until May 13, 2020.
The internal border control will be carried out in 42 designated land border locations: on the border with the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Lithuania. Border control is also carried out at 4 sea ports. and 17 airports.
At border crossings - both on the internal and external border - restrictions concerning foreigners are maintained when entering Poland.
Large restrictions on the entry of foreigners into our country are associated with the spread of coronavirus.
Issues related to the reintroduction of border control at the internal borders of European Union countries are regulated by the Schengen Borders Code.
So far, among others, Poland may enter Polish citizens, foreigners who are the spouses or children of Polish citizens or are under the constant care of Polish citizens, foreigners who possess a Polish Card, foreigners who have the right of permanent or temporary residence on the territory of the Republic of Poland, heads of diplomatic missions and members of the mission's diplomatic and consular staff and their family members.
